Robertson County Restored

DSC00311

Nice courthouse located in Central Texas.  It has quite a checkered history as far as being architectally significant.  If you compare photos from our original visit to these recent photos and you’ll easily note the difference.  For some strange reason – they had completely altered the style of the building to a rather odd ‘Mission’ style.  I think you’ll agree – this renovation is much more appropriate.

Also added were photos of the retired Robertson County Jail.

I, too, point my car toward TX county courthouses and my lens to the spiral, clock tower or flag. Pleased to find your post here about ROBERTSON COUNTY COURTHOUSE IN FRANKLIN. The beautifully restored landmark is a shining light in an otherwise dying small town. To my surprise, I found the “OLD” other version of the courthouse on the town’s official website and in some other photos and references!

Can’t decide if my love for travel or my love for TX is the reason I strike out on an adventure…but it has developed into a massive goal! I’ve visited and documented 46 of the 254 counties in TX.

I document my travels via scrapbooking as well as posting online.
