Not the prettiest of Courthouses.  Dilapidated and it doesn’t seemed to be lined up for restoration.  But it did play a huge role in history.  Years ago, Duval county miraculously found enough votes to just barely get Lyndon Johnson into Congress.  This is where his nickname – Landslide Lyndon came from.

We took these photos on one of trips to the wonderful state park – Lake Corpus Christi.  San Diego is not far from Alice, so while it’s not very impressive, it is easy to take in if your in the Alice area.
