Floyd County Courthouse

County Seat – Floydada
Built – 1950
Style – Modern
Architect – Marvin Stiles
Photos taken – 11/29/17

Very plain exterior.  Built in 1950, this building was like a bridge from moderne into modern.  While the courthouse is not an architectural destination, it does have some nice interior features.  The halls were clean looking with marble.  And the staircases evoked the moderne look in their styling.  The courtroom is large, bright and full of blond wood.  This courthouse was certainly  a bit more interesting than the Lamb County Courthouse which was built just a few years later.
