Gray County Courthouse

Good looking courthouse with a stunning courtroom.  The exterior detail was only a warm-up for what was found inside.  The court room ceiling has to rank as one of the most ornate in all of Texas.  And the use of wood for the bench was unique.  Certainly those looking for the ‘best of Texas’ courthouses should include the Gray County Courthouse.  There is one knock, however.  The setting leaves a lot to be desired.  Little open space to enjoy the exterior – and parking is right up next to the building in many places.  Don’t use that as an excuse to avoid this beauty.
