Marvelous example of moderne – both inside and out.  Outside, the use of ornamentation is extensive and unique.  The large figures beside the entrance and then above are not often seen (Cottle County has similar figures).  Inside – the floor clock is unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere.  And the sign directing to the ‘Ladies’ is priceless.  But the crown jewel of this courthose is its courtroom.  The color and detail are unmayched in Texas.  If I remember correctly – they were removing paneling in the courtroom and the original walls were uncovered!  If I had one complaint – it might have been that Coke machine in the Lobby.  I love my Coke, but…
