One of the smaller counties (land-wise), Somervell County lies on the outskirts of the DFW area.  The area is perhaps best known for its dinosaur connections – and there’s a nearby state park that highlights the ancient history of this part of Texas.  As much as this is a small county, the courthouse is fairly small in size itself.  But it does have a very neat setting and the style is unique.  It has a Scottish baroque feel to it.  I liked the very clean and neat look this courthouse had.  But going inside did nothing to add to impressive feel from outside of the building.  There was little to see and little room to move around once inside.
