Fabulous church. We drove into Paris from the east – and this magnificent building sits high on the east side of the downtown area. With it’s massive tower, it is difficult to miss or not be impressed by. We decided to come back after our courthouse visit. We met, what we assume is the senior pastor who informed us the church as insdeed open. We went in and got a tour from one of the staff. The church has stunning stained glass – and that tower from the inside is just as impressive. The church is listed on the national historic places due to the hand stencilled painting on the walls. The tower walls can be raised – they were developed this way to allow cool breezes and ventilation in the days before air conditioning. Really, if you’re visiting Paris – a stop at this temple is well worth the visit.
