see Bonham Town Square

Well, Bonham is fairly historic and the town square is nice – but this courthouse just doesn’t live up to the setting.  While it is an 1882 courthouse, it has sufffered many indignities over the years – including a few ‘remodels’ and a fire.  The result – a rather non-descript building, which lacks any styling in the inside.  One interesting note – we did go into the Clerk’s office where a panoramic picture on the wall was pointed out showing the courthouse as it stood in the 1890’s.  The kind lady showing the picture pointed out her great grandfather in the photo as a kid.  I did include photos of that panoramic picture in this set.
