Architects – B. F. Trester (the courthouse is identical to one in Boone County Kentucky, built by the McDonald Brothers of Louisvile, Ky.)

Impressions –

I’ll probably add some more to this later, but Bandera is our second home, so it’s special.  Also, the Italianate aspects make it a pleasing structure in this Cowboy Capital of Texas.  There were complete shoots of the courthouse before it was renovated and another set after the renovation – so I’ve included both for your comparison.  Notice how the clock tower went from silver to red.  And the clock time – which is painted on (no clocks) now says it’s 10:10.
