This courthouse was a stunning Beaux Arts example from the early 1900’s.  It had been restored and the interior was something that took your breath away.  As the County Court Room was being restored, they uncovered a stained glass dome that now dominates this county seat of government.  Because it was so hard to leave some pictures out – I split the actual courthouse photo collection that I uploaded into the exterior (here) and the interior (go to Colorado County Courthouse – Interior).

We visited this courthouse, along with a few others, on a Christmas vacation trip to Schulenburg.  We took the travel trailer.  Along with the courthouses, we also visited the Painted Churches of Central Texas.
